Janice Clarke Scholarship Endowment Fund

In June 2007, BJWC sadly lost a great member and past president, Janice Clarke.

Since 1994, Janice’s dedication to our organization never went unnoticed.  She was the chair of several committees and was the energetic voice for so many things in the community that BJWC was involved in. Her kind and loving spirit led her to become our President in 2002-2003.  She was a dynamic and wonderful leader and someone who many of us looked up to. Janice was a dedicated mother to both her children, Alex and Graham, and wonderful wife to Dwight. Janice was involved in her children’s schools, a hardworking employee most recently to the Glenwood School, and served as a volunteer for other organizations including serving on the Fox Point Homeowner’s Board.

In the spirit of everything Janice meant to her family, friends and the Barrington Junior Women’s Club, BJWC is honoring Janice, starting in 2008, with the Janice Clarke Scholarship Endowment Fund.  The scholarship will be open to Barrington High School Seniors who have excelled in academics as well, as extra-curricular activities and of course community volunteerism.  The recipient will receive a $5,000 scholarship for the college of their choice.
