The Safety Town permanent site, located at the Orchard Church (formerly Health World) of Barrington (address: 1301 S Grove Ave), is an integral part of the program. This miniature layout of a town was built to give children hands-on experience in using safety skills. Safety topics covered include pedestrian, motorist, fire, bicycle, water, poison, electrical, animal and playground safety as well as stranger danger. Movies, songs, poems, art and field trips to the Barrington Police & Fire Department are also included in the program to help children enjoy and understand safety rules and lessons.
