2022 FALL FASHION SHOW

Co-Chairs, Juliann Brown and Abigail Biondi

Each year, BJWC holds a signature fundraising event, the Annual Fall Fashion Show.  In 2022 the event, “Vineyard Harvest – Sharing the Abundance” took place on November 12, 2022. Our co-chairs planned a beautiful vineyard harvest-inspired event. We had over 300 women in attendance.

The funds raised at this event help support our well-established grant and scholarship programs. BJWC achieved its fundraising goal and continues its service to seniors,  women, and children in Barrington and surrounding communities.

Thank you to our Sponsors and signature donors!

We welcomed back guests in person on November 6, 2021 with a glam southern inspired event that was a tremendous success. Barrington Charm: Fixin’ to be Fierce was a celebration of the fierce females that make up BJWC and the charm of the town that we love and support. Guests enjoyed a fashion show featuring local boutiques, sipped on VIP complimentary mimosas while shopping and participated in an exciting live auction while enjoying lunch. Thank you to everyone who sponsored, donated or joined us that day—your support is what helps make BJWC such a strong organization. The funds raised at the Fashion Show will support our grant and scholarship programs.

2018 FALL FASHION SHOW

Co-Chairs, Jen Hopwood & Emily Kerous

The Barrington Junior Women’s Club infused color and whimsy into “POP! Happy Looks Good on You”, this year's theme of its marquee Fall Fashion Show fundraising event, held at The Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre.  A nearly sellout crowd of 400 women donned bright and bold fashions to spend the morning shopping local vendors and perusing the 100+ silent auction items featuring unique products and experiences, all the while enjoying sparkling rose (accent on the e).  The guests then headed into the ballroom for luncheon and fashion show, where the visuals included a balloon-lined runway, centerpieces of paper honeycombs and balloon dogs, and yellow + navy table settings.

The highly anticipated Impact Raffle did not disappoint with Keswick Jewelers, a family-owned Arlington Heights jeweler, donating the exquisite set of a 6 carat large blue topaz ring surrounded by a delicate halo of 36 diamonds plus a pair of matching drop earrings.  The excitement continued to build as the winners were called for the Doorway Raffle - His & Her Electra brand bicycles - and an Inspirato trip to a destination of the winner's choice. The engaged crowd made for a memorable Live Auction, with rapid bidding on the "Juniors’ Favorite Things" Gucci Disco bag donated by the Galley Family; two matching bids for the ever-popular Taco Truck, this year paired with music by acoustic guitar duo Sons of Bildor; and a lavish "Instant Christmas" package that included carolers, a Christmas tree, exterior lighting, indoor staging, and much more.  The highlight was the final offering of an internship at Cynthia Rowley headquarters in New York City's West Village, which was preceded by a surprise personal video message from Cynthia Rowley herself to the Stonegate audience. The event concluded with the Zzazz Productions fashion show featuring stylish attire from local Barrington area boutiques, along with curated lines from Neiman Marcus and colorful, feminine pieces by hometown favorite Cynthia Rowley.

This event helps BJWC award grants to local, not-for-profit initiatives such as Barrington Giving Day, BACOA, The Community Meal, mental health services, as well as scholarships for community service and leadership to Barrington High School students. With "POP!" Fashion Show raising $99k net, the most successful fundraiser to date, BJWC aims to support over 20 organizations and expand the contributions through its Spring 2019 grant process.

The event could not happen without many talented BJWC members, especially Co-Chairs Emily Kerous and Jen Hopwood, their committee, and countless volunteers.  BJWC is proud to partner with community businesses, including runway sponsor Beaird Dermatology, premier sponsor BMO Wealth Management, corporate sponsors Barrington Bank and Trust and Wickstrom Auto Group, and many others to make the day a fundraising success for the Barrington community.
