What the flyer tells us
The club took the show back to The Concorde on Rand Road in Kildeer, the same room that had hosted The Woman of Many Hats twelve months earlier. Bloomingdale's dressed the runway.
The artwork put a woman in a wide hat walking a gold Chicago skyline, a Bloomingdale's bag over her arm, with the Sears Tower behind her. Reservations closed on March 11, eight days before the show.
Where it sits in the run
The 1993 flyer billed that year as the sixth annual, which places this one as the seventh.
It is also the second spring date and the second year at The Concorde in a row, which is worth holding onto: in these years the fashion show was a March event, not the November one it became later.
Two printings
One version went out on cream stock with the skyline printed behind the line art. A second used the figure blown up as a pale watermark running the full height of the page, with the type reading over the top of it.
Both carry the same date, the same times and the same $29 donation.
