GIVING DAY

Each December, Barrington Giving Day (a 501c(3) organization) invites families living in the Barrington School District 220 to a Giving Day. Here they receive boxes of food, warm coats, blankets, books, and toys/gifts. BJWC, as well as area churches, schools, businesses and civic organizations support this annual event.

BJWC helps to coordinate the toy and gift donations for this event. BJWC also actively supports the Back to School Giving Day event held in August through grant money, member clothing donations and volunteer hours at the event.

Giving Day 2024 served 466 families and more than 1,100 children. BJWC donated and organized over 5,000 toys and 125 bikes and was also able to provide each family will a $20 Target gift card to supplement their holiday shopping.
