How we raised it

Jazzin’ Jambalaya
Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show at The Cotillion in Palatine, with a New Orleans menu, Hurricanes at the bar, a silent auction of more than 70 lots and a grand raffle of round trip airfare for two to London. Members and their families modeled, including a “Welcome Home the Troops” segment. Joy Deutsch was commentator.
Cornucopia Country Crafts
The annual craft show at the Knights of Columbus Hall brought 80 crafters from across the Midwest, with a preview party, raffle, luncheon and a members’ bake sale.

- Winterscapes ’90The club decorated a Christmas tree for the Historical Society’s holiday fundraiser.

- A Dickens of a ChristmasHoliday party at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington with Dickens Carollers and a centerpiece auction. Members also filled two cars with gifts for the Elgin Crisis Center.

- February FiestaTaco dinner and membership drive. About 100 attended.

Where the money went
$21,713 given to 27 organizations. Two $2,000 merit scholarships went to Barrington High School seniors Bryn Smiley and Brooke Bryant, plus a special $500 scholarship.
