About the show
The club’s eightieth anniversary year, and the committee decided to make the show faster and louder. The theme was a Prince tribute, the décor was purple, black and white, and the runway moved at a different pace from the years before it.
Neiman Marcus headlined for the first time, with Cenzina Originals, Karen Millen and LK Bennett on the runway alongside Grassroots, Heads Up Boutique, House of Betty Jane, Luxe Warehouse, Notice, Savvy Spirit and York Furrier. More than thirty vendors filled the boutique. It sold out at over four hundred and twenty five women.
This was the first year the silent auction moved onto phones, closing in timed waves through the late morning. The live auction ran to Hamilton tickets with dinner and an overnight, a private shopping party with Cynthia Rowley, a York Furrier coat, a child’s red Corvette, and a diamond and pearl pendant from Long & Company Jewelers. The doorway raffle was an Alexander McQueen bag.
We have had such great success with our previous fashion shows that this year we decided to switch it up and add in a little more fun and create an edgier, faster paced show.
